Kanye West, 36, and Kim Kardashian‘s wedding day is almost here, and while the happy couple can’t wait to become husband and wife, Kanye is pretty disappointed that his close friend Jay Z won’t be in attendance. Jay Z reportedly turned down Kanye’s best man proposal because he doesn’t want to be “associated” with Keeping Up with the Kardashians!

“Of course, Kanye asked Jay to be his best man at the wedding. But Jay politely declined the request,” the insider reveals. “Jay just didn’t want to be associated with the Kardashian reality show. Kanye told Jay he understands why he would decline, but he’s still very hurt.”
We feel for Kanye, but we completely understand Jay Z’s reason for not wanting to be the rapper’s best man. Jay and wife Beyonce are notoriously private so we are not shocked that they do not want to be around all of the Keeping Up with the Kardashians cameras that are sure to be in attendance for the occasion.

That said, we totally get why Kanye is disappointed that his best friend won’t be standing by his side on one of the biggest days of his life.
It would have been nice to see these two united since they have been friends for so long, but now we are left to wonder — who will serve as Kanye’s best man?
