Commissioner for Transportation, Kayode Opeifa, who announced the planned closure yesterday, explained that during the maintenance work the bridge would not be closed to traffic, but that vehicular movement would only be restricted to one  carriage way in alternate sessions.
He said: “Traffic re-routing will also be carried out to facilitate seamless flow of traffic. Motorists are advised to take alternate routes to avoid delays, watch out for traffic diversion signs and obey traffic rules and regulations.”
While regretting any inconvenience the maintenance work might cause road users, the government directed all relevant agencies to ensure free flow of traffic.

ABUJA-BARELY 24 hours after the Nyanya bomb blast, there  was pandemonium Tuesday at the  National Assembly as staff abandoned  their duty posts as early as 1.30pm to avoid being killed by a bomb allegedly planted in the complex.
Some  workers that spoke to  Vanguard claimed that there was an order that they  should vacate the complex for security reasons.
The commercial banks operating within the complex closed shop at about 1.pm claiming that there was an order that they should vacate the complex.
Attempts to  get clarifications from the civil servants proved abortive as most of them declared that they were on their way home.
The bomb scare story started making the round at about 11am that there was a bomb planted in the complex and an order from an unidentified source said  that all commercial food vendors should vacate the complex immediately.
By 2:30pm all staff of NASS had left the complex.
But a senior security aide to the Clerk of the  House of Representatives, who spoke under the condition of anonymity told the Vanguard that “there was no instruction to that effect that they should vacate the complex”.

Luxury Designer Malivelihood Denies Customizing iphones For President’s Daughter's Wedding

Tonto Dikeh’s boyfriend and luxury designer, Malivelihood has denied in a short interview with seasoned journalist, Fejiro Oliver that he was contacted by the president to design iphones for guests at his daughter’s wedding which held yesterday in Abuja.  Below is what he told Fejiro and their munched chat after the cut.

Fejiro Oliver: Hello MA. There are allegations via the social media that you customized some iphones for the President's daughter's wedding. Which I believe as a respected jeweler, and entrepreneur, you will not like your signature to be soiled up by craps. Please we would love you disprove this.

Malivelihood: The iphone was a gift from us to the couple. We just thank the President and we hope he receives one of the only 10 iphones we made for his daughter as a gift. [Like I] said in the other email, it was only 10, people got the statement wrong I think. But people saw the gift bag design made for them as well as a gift and they think it was phone inside the bag, so everything was misunderstood. Even the gifts have not got to the couple yet as they were busy.

Fejiro Oliver: Ok, thanks for this great information.
